What we treat
Kids Physio’s have expertise in assessing and treating children with a range of conditions affecting their physical development, movement, and ability to participate in everyday life.
Through fun, developmentally appropriate, family-centered, and play-bases techniques, pediatric physiotherapy can help optimise the movement functions of these children. Physiotherapy intervention aims to improve children’s motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, gait difficulties, balance, coordination and fitness. This can be done through exercises, gait retraining, neurodevelopmental therapy, splinting, positioning, cardio-respiratory intervention and education. The physiotherapist can also be involved in prescription of specialised equipment including walking frames and orthotics.
Our experienced, kid-friendly physiotherapists can assist in advice and management for a range of conditions:
- newborns with flat spots and difficulty turning their head
- newborn and toddler feet
- chest physiotherapy
- babies that are slow to reach milestones such as crawling and walking
- children with poor co-ordination
